Silent Valley National Park:

Set up in the year1984, this park is located in the district of Palghat, spread over an area of 89.52 sq.km along the Kunthi river valley. Located 40 km from Mannarkkad, Silent valley is extremely fragile, a unique preserve of tropical evergreen rain forests, totally undisturbed, lying above the equator and the forest strip which causes the summer rains during June- July in Kerala. The local name for the park is Sairandhrivanam (the forest in the valley) which is also the last representative of tropical evergreen forests in India. The park which is remote has difficult terrain and is surrounded with Attappadi Reserve Forests in the east, and vested forests of the Palghat and Nilambur divisions in the west and south. In the North, the park is an extension of the Nilgiri Forests. The park which has never had human habitation is in the core area of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

The fauna here includes around 100 species of butterflies, 400 species of moths, Ceylon Frogmouth, Great Indian Hornbill, the Nilgiri Laughing Thrush, the giant Malabar squirrel, Nilgiri langur, the lion-tailed Macaque, elephant, tiger, leopard, wild bear, nilgai, sambar, pit viper etc. The parks best known primates, the Nilgiri Langur and Lion- tailed macaque are both listed in IUCN's Red List of Threatened Animals. A valuable reserve of rare plants and herbs including around 966 flowering and over 100 orchids plants are found along with the wide range of animals and birds. This park consist of 10 sq.kms of evergreen forests, 15 sq.kms of semi evergreen forests and 40 sq.kms of leaf shedding forests with a large variety of trees. There are very old trees in the park including a huge hollow tree which can hide at least 12 people in it.

Trekking: Visitors are allowed only up to Sairandhiri, the dam site 23km from Mukkali. There after trekkers need special permission from the Conservator of Forests; Northern Region; Palakkad, to venture on to one of the several trekking routes. The terrain is rough and one has to be vary of the leeches. The 7km trek from Sairandhiri to Poochappara 1376m above sea level takes around two hours.

Other common varieties like the woodpecker, skylark, crane, water hen and parrots can also be spotted here. A cruise along the vembabad lake is the best way to experience the sanctuary. Pathiramanal, an enchanting island on the lake, can be accessed by boat from here.

Savitri Temple
The Savitri temple is dedicated to Goddess Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma. Positioned on the Ratnagiri Hill, this temple holds a legend to itself. It is believed that once Lord Brahma had to perform a Yagna immediately. However, the performance of the Yagna required the presence of his wife. So, he married a local milkmaid, Gayatri for the purpose. When Brahma's wife, Savitri, found out, she cursed Lord Brahma that he would be worshipped only in Pushkar and only once a year. Then, she immolated herself at the Ratnagiri Hill, where the temple now stands.

Warah Temple
The Warah temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (preserver of the world). King Anaji Chauhan built this temple. The temple has an image of lord Vishnu in the incarnation of a wild boar. The legend has it that Lord Vishnu came took the form of a Warah (wild boar) to kill the demon Hirnayaksh.

This is believed to be the reason why there is only one Brahma temple in the whole world.

Day 01: Delhi
You arrive at New Delhi International airport. You are received & escorted to your pre-assigned hotel. Remaining day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotels in Delhi.

Day 02 : Jaipur
A few hours drive will transport you to the charming Pink City of India. On arrival check in at your hotel. In the evening take a walking tour of the colorful streets and bazaars of Jaipur City. The beauty of Jaipur is that its unique architecture and town planning is visible at even the most commonest places such as its squares and lanes.

Day 03 : Jaipur
Take a full day long sightseeing tour of Jaipur city that includes the City Palace, Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Birla temple, Albert hall and excursion to the old capital Amber. Here at Amber, you'll ascend till the gates of majestic fort on elephant back. The fort displays a beautiful mix of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture.

Day 04 : Ranthambhore
Morning proceed for Ranthambhore. After reaching Ranthambhore, transferred to your hotel straightaway. After having lunch, move for an evening jungle safari in your exclusive open jeep.

Day 05 : Ranthambhore
Morning we move out for jungle safari to see the rare Royal Indian tigers in its full glory at the Ranthambhore National Park. After lunch we try another chance in safari of National Park.

Day 06 : Ranthambhore - Agra
Take Morning Safari in the park. Proceed to Agra after lunch. Drive through abandoned citadel of Mughal emperor Akbar known as Fatehpur Sikri. Evening free on own. Overnight stay in your pre - assigned hotel.

Day 07 : Train to Umariya
Catch an early morning glimpse of the Taj Mahal from its backside with the river in the front visit the Agra fort. In the evening board the super fast express train to Umaria. Spend the night onboard in your exclusive air-conditioned coupe.

Day 08 : Bandhavgarh
Reach Umaria early in the morning. From here your private car will pick you up for transfer to your jungle resort at Bandhavgarh National Park. Take Evening Elephant safari in the park. Bandhavgarh National Park has the highest density of tigers and spotting a tiger here is rather easy.

Day 09 : Bandhavgarh
